#1 How To Create Content That Stands Out
Let's talk about how you can stand out from the crowd.
Hi there,
Welcome to the first edition of Contentment, the weekly newsletter for content creators who want to grow their skills, audience, and income.
This week, I want to share with you a short and actionable lesson on how to create content that stands out from the crowd.
We all know that content creation is a competitive and crowded space. There are millions of blogs, podcasts, videos, and social media posts out there, competing for attention and engagement.
So how do you make your content stand out and get noticed by your ideal audience?
Here are three tips that I've learned from my own experience and from studying successful content creators:
- Be original. Don't copy what everyone else is doing. Find your own voice, style, and perspective. Share your unique stories, insights, and opinions. Create content that only you can create.
- Be valuable. Don't create content for the sake of creating content. Create content that solves a problem, answers a question, teaches a skill, or entertains your audience. Create content that adds value to their lives.
- Be consistent. Don't create content sporadically or randomly. Create content on a regular basis and stick to a schedule. Create content that builds trust, authority, and loyalty with your audience.
If you follow these three tips, you'll be able to create content that stands out and attracts your ideal audience.
Now, let's move on to some of the best resources I've found this week on content creation and starting a business.
- Podcast: The Side Hustle Show. This is one of my favorite podcasts for aspiring and established entrepreneurs. It features interviews with successful side hustlers who share their stories, strategies, and tips on how to start and grow a profitable business.
- Article: How to Write a Blog Post: The Definitive Guide. This is a comprehensive guide on how to write a blog post that gets read, shared, and ranked by Google. It covers everything from choosing a topic, writing a headline, outlining your post, writing your introduction, body, and conclusion, editing your post, adding images and links, and promoting your post.
- Video: How to Start a YouTube Channel in 2021: Beginner's Guide. This is a helpful video on how to start a YouTube channel from scratch. It covers how to choose a niche, create a channel name and logo, set up your channel art and description, optimize your channel settings, create your first video, upload and optimize your video, and grow your channel.
I hope you find these resources useful and inspiring.
Finally, I want to share with you some of the challenges I've faced in my own content creation journey.
One of the biggest challenges I've faced is overcoming self-doubt and impostor syndrome. Sometimes I wonder if my content is good enough, if anyone cares about what I have to say, or if I'm qualified to teach or advise others.
I'm sure many of you can relate to this feeling.
But what I've learned is that self-doubt and impostor syndrome are normal and common among content creators. They are not signs of weakness or incompetence. They are signs of growth and learning.
The best way to overcome them is to keep creating and sharing your content with the world. The more you do it, the more confident and comfortable you'll become.
And remember that you have something valuable to offer to your audience. You have knowledge, experience, and passion that they can benefit from.
So don't let self-doubt and impostor syndrome stop you from creating amazing content.
That's it for this week. Thank you for reading Contentment.
