#3 Creating Audience Journey
Let's start talking about the big picture.
Hi there,
Welcome to another edition of Contentment, the weekly newsletter for content creators who want to grow their skills, audience, and income. Before we dive into it, I want to you to know something that's important to me, and I will repeat this every week - my content will continue to be made by me, for you (human-to-human). I might provide advice on how to use AI as it advances, but the content of this newsletter will be written by me through my own through process.
I am going to start off this week's newsletter by telling you of the journey you should be providing your audience whenever you start something.
As a content creator and a business-person, you need to be aware of how to build your audience. But before you can do that, you need to understand that there are 3 types of audiences.
1. General Audience - This is the "everyone group". It includes everyone that sees your posts.
2. Active Audience - This is the audience that decided to "follow" you through your channel, profile, newsletter, or other means.
3. Participating Audience - This is the audience that actively participates in different events that you do.
4. Loyal Audience - this the audience that loves you, follows you, and knows you're worth the value and would generally follow your journey and buy what you have to sell.
As a content creator, you need to take your audience all the way from "General Audience", to being "Loyal Audience". The one and only way to do that is to provide VALUE. Provide value in everything you do, without expecting anything in return. In the next few newsletters, I will show you how you can take your audience from 1 --> 4, expanding on each single step. So, take out your pens and papers (or a note-taking app), and every week when I send out this newsletter, be ready to take notes.

Moving on to the next segment - rather than provide you a bunch of stuff, from now on I will send you one resource that you can watch or read. This resource is meant to benefit your content creation and business ideas.
As I've mentioned before, you can have the best product, but if you don't word you sales-pitch or sales page the right way, you won't sell anything. If you want to learn how to word your offer, I highly recommend you to read "Copywriting Secrets" by Jim Edwards. Most of the books I've started reading about copywriting and understanding how to sell stuff are full of crap and filled with words that lead to nothing. But this book, it has some really good tips that will help understand how you need to word your offers.

I want to also share another challenge I had when I initially started my business.
When I first started selling my services online, I was charging very little. I was spending a lot of time completing the services which I offered. It took me a while to raise my prices. Initially, it was very difficult to spend all that time working and nothing getting much in return. But, when you start a service, you have to start low. It's not because your service sucks, it's because you are starting to build your reputation, authority, and testimonials. This initial phase is required because if no one knows you, they won't way a premium price for your product or service.
Therefore, if you're struggling in the beginning, keep that end goal in mind. The beginnings are filled with struggle, but it'll lead you to a better place.
That's it for this week. Thank you for reading Contentment.
